Observations 001: Bansko

A photo-documentary look at Bansko, Bulgaria. A town kept alive by ski tourism, seasonal money and the people that live there.

This zine explores the contrast between local life and the waves of tourists passing through it. Traditional culture sitting alongside après-ski bars, cheap supermarkets beneath, tourist hotels, and groups of people living completely different realities while relying on each other to keep the place moving.

Less of a travel guide, more of an observation of a town split between identity, survival and tourism.
